Construction Superintendent
About The Position
RQC, LLC is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their West Coast Field Operations team for military projects located in San Diego County. The role involves the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all construction work activities, assigned employees, and subcontractors on a project job site. The goal is to safely produce quality work within project requirements, budget, and schedule, aligning with RQC's Mission, Vision, and Values. While the headquarters is in Carlsbad, CA, specific projects can be anywhere in San Diego County. Candidates local to projects will be given priority, and relocation to on-site management may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Five or more years of work experience in a Superintendent position (e.g., scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction) on medium-sized projects.
- Four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in the construction industry.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.).
- CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required (training can be provided).
Nice To Haves
- College courses or degree in construction management, engineering, etc.
- Government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
- Work in the design-build industry and on large-sized projects is preferred.
- Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
- Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable.
- LEED GA/AP Credential desirable.
Responsibilities

- Safely produce quality work within project requirements (RFP, plans, specifications, and proposal documents).
- Ensure work is completed within the targeted budget and schedule.
- Align work with RQC's Mission, Vision, and Values.
