About The Position

Construction Superintendent for industrial facilities with specialization for HVAC/Process Piping. A superintendent that qualifies for the GC license as an unlimited General contractor. Ability to supervise subcontractors, enforce strict safety onsite. Ability to climb ladders, access cleanrooms. Walk long distances in industrial factories. Professional attitude for a multicultural global firm. Field superintendent Oversee the installation of process, and utility systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities. Ensure all applicable codes, safety laws and site regulations are enforced. Support the company in qualifying for and maintaining the general contractor license. Establish and enforce construction standards, QA/QC procedures, and best practices. Responsible for enforcing safety Supervise 5 subcontractors and approximately 6 foremen. Additional duties as assigned 10 to 15% national travel, possibly one week of international travel to Japan. Project Management & Execution Manage the Change order process in conjunction with subcontractors and engineers Support project planning, estimating, and proposal development. Provide scheduling leadership during design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. Conduct constructability reviews and provide field support during installation and testing. Interface with multinational clients, contractors, and vendors, ensuring effective communication and technical solutions. Compliance & Professional Responsibility Maintain compliance with North Carolina requirements and all relevant codes Deal directly with inspectors, clients, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • North Carolina General Contractors / Builders Exam
  • 10 years of mechanical/process construction experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • 4+ years in a subcontractor supervision
  • Proven experience working with subcontractors, coordinating diverse stakeholders on complex industrial projects.
  • Mechanical aptitude in mechanical systems, industrial utilities, piping, and process layouts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
