About The Position

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all field operations for a large-scale, fast-track residential project from groundbreaking through TCO. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Day-to-day field supervision of all construction activities, including oversight of subcontractors and third-party vendors Maintain and drive the project schedule, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact the timeline Manage the project budget through expense control, approvals, and timely review of submittments and deliverables Serve as the primary field point of contact for inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and city and county officials Collaborate closely with internal Project Managers, Design Managers, and Development Managers to keep all project goals on track Review construction document packages for procurement and develop detailed scopes of work Manage the permitting process, coordinating with expeditors, DOB, and other regulatory bodies as required Lead regular foreman meetings, keeping the entire field team aligned on priorities, sequencing, and deadlines

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in large-scale residential construction, including ground-up multifamily or mixed-use developments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage major trades including MEP, structural, and foundations from inception through completion
  • Experience obtaining TCO by coordinating across Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Elevator, and Fire Alarm trades
  • Minimum of 7 projects, with the last two in a principal role for at least 75% of the project duration
  • OSHA 40, SST Supervisor card, and NYC Superintendent License required

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
