About The Position

A growing Brooklyn-based construction company is seeking a Construction Site Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects across New York City’s five boroughs. This is a primarily field-based role involving coordination of crews, materials, customers, and multiple active job sites. The position reports directly to the owner and offers the opportunity to grow into leading the field team.

Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of solid construction field experience; property management experience alone is not sufficient.
• Ability to read construction drawings and plans.
• Experience working with crews, customers, and active job sites.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple jobs at once.
• Availability for 7 AM phone check-ins and occasional Sunday calls.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of active construction sites across the five boroughs.
• Confirm crews are on site and working each morning.
• Visit new sites and regularly check progress at ongoing jobs.
• Oversee manpower, productivity, and quality of work.
• Serve as the on-site contact for customers.
• Coordinate deliveries and ensure materials are ordered ahead of need.
• Read and work from construction drawings.
• Keep jobs on schedule and address issues early.
• Monitor compliance with DOB and building department requirements.
• Provide the owner with a daily report on all active jobs.
