The Construction Site Logistics Drafter role involves creating preliminary and final construction logistics plans using software like Revit for bid proposals, preconstruction, and city permit approvals. The position requires updating drawings for ongoing projects, collaborating with Site Logistics Planners, identifying constructability challenges, and preparing detailed logistics drawings for various site elements including staging, cranes, traffic flow, and temporary services. The role also involves preparing Traffic Management Plans following provincial regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong skills set in AutoCAD and Revit
  • 2-5 years of experience in drafting or BIM design or Civil Engineering Technologist diploma
  • Experience producing engineering drawings and details concerning construction sequencing and site logistics
  • Experience with civil, residential, or commercial construction
  • General knowledge of safety regulations at construction sites

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other software, such as cmBuilder or Synchro
  • Knowledgeable of specific elements of site logistics such as Tower Cranes, construction hoists, excavation, shoring methods, etc

Responsibilities

  • Drafting preliminary and final construction logistics plans using Revit and other software to assist on bid proposals and preconstruction
  • Updating logistics drawings for ongoing projects
  • Preparing logistics drawings for city permit approval
  • Take direction from and work with Site Logistics Planners on incorporating construction approaches into drawings
  • Review project documents and identify constructability challenges and plans to propose efficient construction sequences
  • Attending logistics meetings as required
  • Prepare logistics drawings including staging, work sequences, cranes, truck delivery flow, personnel hoists location, office trailer compound set up considering construction parking and temporary services such as power, dewatering systems
  • Prepare Traffic Management Plans following each province's traffic regulations
