About The Position

A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and gets children back in school. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow of recovery field activities, coordinating staff, volunteers, and corporate groups, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with All Hands and Hearts preferred; experience working in a post-disaster environment preferred.
  • 2+ years experience remodeling and rebuilding homes in the U.S.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Confident in Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets, Slack; and Microsoft Office.
  • Applicant must be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately.
  • The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day workflow of recovery work on assigned sites, ensuring work stays on schedule and follows the approved scopes.
  • Support and provide guidance to Site Supervisors, Construction Trainees and Team Leaders in planning and managing work on site.
  • Maintain the high quality of work performed by teams in the field.
  • Track progress on sites and communicate any delays, challenges, or changes to the Project Manager.
  • Communicate clearly with households regarding progress, timelines for work completion and any changes to the work.
  • Oversee the organization, tracking, maintenance, and repair of tools and equipment.
  • Develop clear training and safety protocols on site and communicate these with staff and different audiences, such as day volunteers or corporate groups.
  • Review scopes of work and assessment information and communicate important site details to the field team before work begins.
  • Maintain accurate tracking systems of worksites completed and current progress.
  • Offers experienced based troubleshooting on construction work sites.
  • Implements a system of evaluation, including follow up assessments to ensure work completed meets the household assessed need and is being performed correctly.
