About The Position

This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of Sheet Metal experience. The ideal candidate will be able to understand all aspects of HVAC installation, be dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks and teams effectively. A good working attitude, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to identify and correct unsafe situations are essential. The role involves laying out ductwork, sketching fittings, understanding rigging signals, and fabricating supports. Knowledge of HVAC airflow (Supply, Return, Exhaust) and quality control to ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications is required. Collaboration with other trades and the ability to read architectural drawings are also key components of this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Sheet Metal experience.
  • Able to understand all aspects of HVAC installation.
  • Dependable and able to work different areas at a time with 4-5 people in each group.
  • Able to lay-out duct for installation and look ahead to keep work going smoothly.
  • Good working attitude.
  • Adhere to all EAS safety policies and regulations.
  • Capable of spotting unsafe situations and correcting them as needed.
  • Able to sketch fitting for duct connections.
  • Knowledge of signals for rigging, and setting HVAC equipment with cranes, boom trucks, lulls, and forklifts.
  • Knowledge of Welding and fabrication of supports for equipment.
  • Knowledge of Air flow of systems (Supply, Return, Exhaust).
  • Able to do Quality Control to make sure that all HVAC inline Mechanical Devices are installed according to Manufacturer's Instructions.
  • Able to work with other Trades in a Professional manner to correct any conflicts that may arise.
  • Capable of reading not only duct work drawings, but Architectural drawings to locate rooms, ceiling elevations, columns.
  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
  • Courses in construction safety are a requirement.
  • Be able to continue job if Superintendent is not available.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
