About The Position

This position assists journeyman-level employees with the construction, installation, alteration, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and work orders. The role also provides technical guidance and direction to lower-level employees. Work may take place in commercial and construction settings.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
At least 1 year of related experience and/or training is required.
Experience related specifically to assembling hoods and sheet metal air-conditioning and heating units.
Working knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Ability to communicate and work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
Ability to handle disruptions professionally.
Ability to work independently in commercial and construction settings.

Responsibilities

Follow blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
Provide technical guidance and direction to lower-level employees.
Troubleshoot service issues and develop systematic, thoughtful, timely, and effective solutions and procedures.
Use tools and related equipment properly and safely.
