Construction Services (Materials Testing) Project Manager
About The Position
SOCOTEC is seeking a Construction Services (Materials Testing) Project Manager to oversee geotechnical earthwork, special inspection, and construction materials testing projects. This role is responsible for managing project execution, coordinating with clients and project teams, overseeing field and laboratory operations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. SOCOTEC is a provider of niche consulting services within the architecture, engineering and construction industries focusing on high-performance buildings and specialty structures. Requirements
- 5+ years of construction materials testing and inspection experience
- 2+ years of materials testing and inspection project management experience
- Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in proposal preparation, including materials quantity take-offs
Nice To Haves
- Local experience and familiarity with local codes and practices
- Understanding that this is not a general construction position
Responsibilities
- Manage construction and materials testing projects
- Manage project budgets
- Meet and interact with clients and design professionals
- Coordinate and oversee all field activities, including field technicians and inspectors
- Visit project sites to evaluate work being performed
- Review all project-related paperwork
- Assist in troubleshooting project-related issues
