About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Construction Scheduler to support capital, maintenance, and infrastructure planning and scheduling for a large scale USSPACECOM construction project as well as other projects in the Parsons Portfolio. You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, along with supporting cost tracking and reporting to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field; 4 addition years of relevant experience will substitute for a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in scheduling for construction projects or federal contracting operations.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path method (CPM), and project controls.
  • Experience supporting utility, construction, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling logic, resource planning, and cost integration.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience project scheduling for large scale Federal or DoD construction projects
  • Former Military Construction/Engineering experience a plus
  • Experience performing 14-point schedule assessment or similar schedule quality reviews
  • PSP, PMI-SP or PMP certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project across a large scale portfolio.
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations staff to establish baselines, milestones, and critical paths, schedule logic, milestones, and resource loading.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates, variance analysis, and schedule impact assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to communicate schedule performance to leadership and clients.
  • Identify potential risks and delays, propose recovery plans, and support proactive problem-solving.
  • Maintain historical schedule data for use in forecasting and future project planning.
  • Support resource loading and allocation within the schedule to align manpower and equipment with project needs.
  • Monitor schedule performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collect, interpret, and report schedule and cost data and utilize scheduling and project controls tools for cost and schedule analysis.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Support initiatives that improve project delivery and performance.
  • Recommend enhancements to scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support improvements to project control process tools and reporting practices.
