About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Construction Scheduler to support a portfolio of major electrical substation and transmission projects. This role is ideal for experienced Senior Schedulers who are enthusiastic about working in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and possess exceptional communication and analytical skills. The position is located locally to New York City and is part of our Critical Infrastructure team, which focuses on designing and delivering essential infrastructure that connects and protects communities worldwide.

Requirements

  • Extensive P6 experience.
  • In-depth knowledge/proficiency of the scope of projects within the utility industry.
  • Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel, skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Individual Contributor.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field and 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review and understand conceptual plans, scope documents, and designs for electrical transmission and developer interconnection projects.
  • Facilitate the preparation and creation of schedules.
  • Review baseline/execution schedules.
  • Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts.
  • Perform critical path and float analysis reporting.
  • Report schedule status to appropriate project Company management and the client.
  • Provide analysis for historical data, such as performed projects for future planning and forecasting.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
