About The Position

Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking a Construction Safety Professional to provide safety support across construction projects. The role partners directly with General Contractors to implement effective safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a proactive, site-wide safety culture. It requires a strong field presence, leadership capability, and collaboration with multiple trades and stakeholders. The position involves supporting General Contractors, subcontractors, and project teams; coaching and training field personnel; conducting site inspections and audits; supporting safety planning and incident investigations; and maintaining project safety records. The role requires active presence on construction sites and may involve flexible hours and overtime based on project needs. Requirements

At least 5 years of construction safety experience; experience supporting a General Contractor is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926).
Experience working in complex, fast-paced construction environments.
Working knowledge of high-risk activities such as electrical safety, fall protection, confined space, and crane operations.
Ability to influence and collaborate with field teams, supervisors, and management.
Strong hazard recognition, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or safety management systems.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification, earned within the last 5 years (required).
First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification (required).
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, based on project needs.
Reliable transportation and residence within a reasonable commuting distance; project-specific travel or per diem may be defined as needed.

Nice To Haves

BCSP certifications such as STS-C, CHST, or CSP.
OSHA 510/500, NFPA 70E, or other relevant certifications.
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
Data center or mission critical construction experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as a safety resource to the General Contractor, subcontractors, and project team.
Mentor, coach, and train field personnel on OSHA standards, company policies, and industry best practices.
Promote and sustain a positive safety culture through active engagement with workers and site leadership.
Participate in and support daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings as required by the project.
Conduct routine site safety inspections, audits, and observations; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Lead and support safety processes including pre-task planning (PTP), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), permit programs, and incident investigations.
Facilitate new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and task-specific training.
Monitor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards and site-specific safety requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and metrics for project leadership.
