About The Position

Join a general contractor supporting renovations and new construction work at an active manufacturing facility in Greenville, SC. This opportunity provides hands-on safety leadership for ongoing construction activities within an occupied industrial environment. The Construction Safety Manager will serve as the sole safety professional onsite, working directly with project management, supervision, subcontractors, and craft personnel to maintain compliance and ensure safe execution of all work activities.

Requirements

  • OSHA 510 Certification
  • Previous Lead Safety Experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience conducting inspections, audits, orientations, and safety meetings
  • Ability to work independently as the primary safety representative onsite
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of General Contractor Safety Programs
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Facility Construction
  • Working knowledge of Renovation Projects in Active Facilities
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
  • Working knowledge of Safety Audits & Compliance Inspections
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
  • Working knowledge of Field Safety Leadership

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily field safety oversight for ongoing construction activities
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Lead project safety orientations and toolbox talks
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and reports
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
  • Serve as the primary onsite safety resource for all project personnel

  • Per Diem: $150/Day (Travelers Only)
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
