About The Position

MMC is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support construction projects and promote a culture of safety excellence. This role serves as a key resource to project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.

Requirements

• Experience supporting a General Contractor on large-scale construction projects, preferably data centers.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction standards and high-risk activities such as fall protection, electrical safety, crane operations, and confined spaces.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and hazard recognition skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
• 3+ years of construction safety management experience and a Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field; or 5+ years of construction safety management experience and a professional certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, CIH, or equivalent); or 6+ years of construction safety management experience and current OSHA 500 certification.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a proactive safety culture across the project site.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; recommend and track corrective actions.
• Support safety processes including pre-task planning, JSAs, permits, incident investigations, and corrective action management.
• Deliver new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and project-specific safety requirements.
• Partner with project leadership, subcontractors, and field teams to improve safety performance.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and project safety metrics.
