About The Position

The Construction Safety Manager will provide daily field safety oversight for craft personnel, subcontractors, and supervision while ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and site-specific safety standards. This role supports maintenance and construction activities at the Ford Manufacturing Plant in Louisville, KY, with a project scope including roofing, scaffolding, industrial coatings, insulation installation, and elevated work activities.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • 1-3 Years of Construction Safety Experience
  • Experience Supporting Roofing, Scaffolding, and Aerial Lift Activities
  • Experience Working on Large Commercial or Industrial Construction Sites
  • Strong Knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Ability to Maintain a Highly Visible Field Presence
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Roofing Safety Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Scaffold Safety & Access Systems
  • Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Coatings Operations
  • Working knowledge of Insulation Installation Activities
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily field safety oversight for roofing, scaffolding, insulation, and coating activities
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor elevated work, scaffold usage, aerial lift operations, and material handling activities
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project

  • $56/hr (Local) | $48/hr (Non-Local with Per Diem)
