About The Position

The Construction Safety Manager will provide daily field safety oversight for craft personnel, subcontractors, and supervision while ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and site-specific safety standards. This role supports maintenance and construction activities at the Ford Manufacturing Plant in Louisville, KY, with a project scope including roofing, scaffolding, industrial coatings, insulation installation, and elevated work activities.

Requirements

OSHA 30 Construction Certification
1-3 Years of Construction Safety Experience
Experience Supporting Roofing, Scaffolding, and Aerial Lift Activities
Experience Working on Large Commercial or Industrial Construction Sites
Strong Knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
Ability to Maintain a Highly Visible Field Presence
Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
Working knowledge of Roofing Safety Requirements
Working knowledge of Scaffold Safety & Access Systems
Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
Working knowledge of Industrial Coatings Operations
Working knowledge of Insulation Installation Activities
Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
Working knowledge of Industrial Site Safety Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide daily field safety oversight for roofing, scaffolding, insulation, and coating activities
Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
Monitor elevated work, scaffold usage, aerial lift operations, and material handling activities
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements
Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
