About The Position

Join an electrical contractor supporting construction of a large-scale advanced manufacturing facility in Bastrop, TX. The project supports specialized AI satellite manufacturing, orbital data center infrastructure, and dedicated aerospace solar cell production operations. The Construction Safety Manager will provide hands-on field safety oversight for electrical construction activities throughout the project. This is an opportunity to support a unique, technically advanced construction environment involving electrical infrastructure, equipment installation, power distribution, and multiple high-risk construction activities.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Construction Safety
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Installation & Infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of Temporary Power & Electrical Distribution
  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Working knowledge of Hazardous Energy Control
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
  • Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Advanced Manufacturing Construction
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Construction Safety
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Working knowledge of Safety Inspections & Field Observations
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily safety oversight for electrical construction activities
  • Maintain a highly visible field presence alongside electrical crews and supervision
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor electrical installation, temporary power, and equipment installation activities
  • Support safe execution of electrical infrastructure and power distribution work
  • Monitor Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous energy control activities where applicable
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Monitor fall protection, elevated work, aerial lifts, and material handling activities
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspections, and compliance records
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
  • Coordinate closely with project management, supervision, and contractors
