About The Position

Aristeo Construction is seeking safety team members with a strong understanding of safety policies and procedures. This role involves traveling for projects and a passion for enhancing safety measures both within the company and for clients. The Construction Safety Manager will act as the lead safety personnel on projects, providing high-level safety management and proactive safety solutions. Responsibilities include conducting training sessions, developing and implementing safety programs, managing OSHA correspondence, performing site inspections, and developing the Pre-task Analysis process. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of excavations, concrete, and steel, expert knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and excellent data analysis and risk assessment skills. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and motivational skills are essential. Familiarity with project management software like Autodesk and Procore is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. This position requires willingness to travel or relocate for extended periods on a project-specific basis.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of excavations, concrete, and steel
  • Expert knowledge of safety policies and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Demonstrates advanced leadership and accountability
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and motivational skills
  • Familiarity with project management software (Autodesk, Procore, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in a construction-based health and safety role
  • Associate degree in Safety or related field
  • CHST certification required
  • Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the U.S. without further visa sponsorship.
  • Candidates applying for positions where driving is a necessary component of the job must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Advanced certification in safety preferred (ASP, CSP, or SMP)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead safety personnel on projects
  • Provide high-level safety management and offer proactive safety solutions to the project management team
  • Conduct training sessions, presentations, and safety orientations for new hires or subcontractors
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety training programs and policies
  • Responsible for all OSHA correspondence on the project
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Develop the Pre-task Analysis process
  • Effectively manage safety risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
