About The Position

Join a leading mechanical contractor specializing in plumbing, HVAC, and heating system installations for commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Colorado. This role provides safety leadership across both ground-up construction and occupied facility projects while partnering closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, estimators, owners, and general contractors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction safety professional looking to make a long-term impact within a growing organization while supporting multiple projects across the Front Range.

Requirements

OSHA 30 Certification
5+ years of construction safety experience supporting mechanical construction projects
Experience overseeing plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical system installations
Experience leading incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Experience with Fall Protection
Experience with Scaffolding & Ladder Safety
Experience with Hot Work, Cutting, Grinding & Welding
Experience with Confined Space Entry
Experience with Electrical Hazard Awareness
Experience with Crane & Rigging Operations
Experience with Material Handling
Experience with Trenching & Excavation
Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Management experience with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
Working knowledge of Mechanical Construction Safety
Working knowledge of Plumbing & HVAC Installation Activities
Working knowledge of Commercial & Industrial Construction
Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work Activities
Working knowledge of Scaffolding & Ladder Safety

Experience managing multiple concurrent construction projects
CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage company EHS programs
Conduct routine project inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), permits, and lift plans
Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Conduct new hire orientations and ongoing safety training
Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Estimators to integrate safety into project planning and execution
Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety requirements
Maintain safety metrics, reporting, and compliance documentation
Coordinate with owners, customers, and general contractors regarding project safety expectations
Promote a proactive safety culture across all active projects
