About The Position
The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for leading and promoting safety programs across building and heavy civil construction projects. The role ensures compliance with safety regulations, conducts jobsite inspections, identifies and mitigates risks, investigates incidents, delivers safety training, and works with project teams to maintain a strong safety culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of five years of occupational safety experience.
- Experience in construction safety, preferably in building or heavy civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with safety management software and reporting systems.
Nice To Haves
- ASP, CSP, CHST, or similar safety certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Promote and strengthen safety culture across multiple construction projects.
- Conduct jobsite safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Deliver safety training, coaching, and mentoring to project teams.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Inspect equipment, tools, and work practices for safe operation.
- Support claims management, incident reporting, and safety documentation.
- Analyze safety performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into project planning.
