About The Position

The Construction Safety Facilitator serves as the owner’s representative on a hyperscale data center construction project in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. The role supports implementation of and conformance with the client’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements by coaching, advising, and providing technical support to the general contractor and trade partners. The facilitator provides accurate and timely EHS performance data to the owner’s construction management team. The role does not direct work; instead, it engages the owner’s team, contractor management, and supervision to address observed nonconformances. The position is site-based and tied to the duration of the project. It involves regular participation in site safety activities, audits, training, incident response, performance reporting, and collaboration with construction, operations, and global construction EHS teams. The facilitator may provide EHS support for facility moves, adds, changes, utilities, and substation work after turnover, and may help the owner’s controls team gather field information related to project schedule and cost control. Relocation assistance or per diem may be available to qualified candidates who live outside commuting distance.
