About The Position
Environmental and Safety Solutions Inc. is seeking a Construction Safety Associate for a large construction company’s project in Ohio. The role focuses on maintaining a strong field presence—90% or more of the time—to monitor job-site safety conditions and behaviors, ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific requirements, and promote a proactive safety culture. The position may include per diem for candidates who are not local to the project.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of construction safety management experience.
- Excellent writing and computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to start the project as soon as possible.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 510 certification or additional experience.
- Being local to the project; per diem is available for candidates who are not local.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a field presence at the job site for 90% or more of the time to monitor safety conditions and behaviors.
- Conduct daily site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions in real time.
- Partner with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-task planning sessions.
