About The Position

This role requires a strong field presence (90%+ of time) to monitor job site safety conditions and behaviors. The Construction Safety Associate will conduct daily site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements. The position involves identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing corrective actions in real time. The associate will partner with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture, and will lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-task planning sessions. Responsibilities include observing work activities across multiple trades (mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) and ensuring safe work practices are followed. The role also involves investigating incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, documenting findings, and supporting corrective action plans. Reinforcing positive safety behaviors while coaching and mentoring workers on best practices is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of construction safety management experience.
  • Ability to start this project as soon as possible.
  • Must have excellent writing and computer skills.
  • Great communication - written & verbal.
  • Candidate must have strong background in demolition.
