About The Position

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. The US Expansion Construction team is delivering significant semiconductor capital projects in the United States, including new high-volume manufacturing facilities. This role plays a critical role in protecting project outcomes across a portfolio of large-scale construction programs by providing leadership in identifying, quantifying, monitoring, and mitigating risk throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with project stakeholders to drive risk-informed decision making, support project execution, and provide executive-level insight into potential impacts to cost, schedule, safety, quality, and project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in construction project controls, construction management, or capital project risk management, including direct responsibility for a formal risk management program
  • Experience supporting large-scale capital construction projects valued at $1B+ within industrial, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, data center, pharmaceutical, or similar environments
  • Strong expertise in quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo schedule and cost simulations, contingency development, and risk forecasting
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts, claims management, project schedules, construction documents, OSHA construction standards, and AI tools such as Copilot or equivalent technologies

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as PMI-RMP, PMP, CCP, CEP, DRMP, CCM, or Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Experience supporting semiconductor fabrication facility construction, including cleanrooms, process utility systems, central utility plants, or related infrastructure
  • Experience with commissioning, production turnover readiness, integrated project delivery, advanced work packaging, or lean construction methodologies
  • Proficiency with risk analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau, including analysis of large project controls data sets and multi-site capital programs.
  • Interest and/or experience in adaption of agentic AI into workflows and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve the construction risk management framework, including governance, risk identification, assessment, escalation, and reporting processes
  • Own the program risk register, ensuring risks are quantified, assigned, actively managed, and tracked through closure
  • Conduct quantitative schedule and cost risk analyses, including Monte Carlo simulations, contingency planning, and forecast development
  • Partner with project teams, contractors, procurement, and stakeholders to develop and execute mitigation strategies for construction, supply chain, labor, contractual, and operational risks
  • Deliver executive-level risk reporting, facilitate cross-functional risk reviews, and support informed decision making across the project portfolio
