Requirements

  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in quality work
  • Comfort working outdoors in active construction environments
  • Professional communication skills with contractors, project teams, and the public
  • Basic to advanced math skills and ability to interpret construction drawings
  • Flexibility to work across multiple project sites
  • A commitment to learning, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with construction, inspection, surveying, municipal infrastructure, or CAD

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing construction of municipal infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and standards
  • Verifying line, grade, materials, quantities, and workmanship using field measurements and tools
  • Preparing accurate daily reports, documentation, and record drawings using electronic reporting software
  • Communicating effectively with contractors, engineers, project managers, and municipal officials
  • Serving as a professional point of contact for public inquiries
  • Identifying construction issues and proactively recommending or escalating solutions
  • Coordinating on‑site activities to support safety, efficiency, and quality
  • Acting as on‑site coordinator or lead for construction projects (for experienced candidates)
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced field staff (for experienced candidates)
  • Providing constructability insight and field leadership to project teams (for experienced candidates)
