About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Construction Quality Control / Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in Tukwila, Washington. This role offers a career growth opportunity in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Requirements

5+ years relevant construction inspection, quality assurance and quality control experience on transportation/heavy civil projects.
ACI and ICC Certifications.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record.
Basic Math, Calculator, and Computer Skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
Ability to read plans and specifications.
Ability to work off shifts and overtime.
Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications.
Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to make discriminations in sound.
Ability to kneel, squat and climb occasionally.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold).

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent.
One or more of the following certifications: ICC, ACI, Nuclear Gauge, WABO, WAQTC, and/or CWI.

Responsibilities

Conduct jobsite inspections and materials testing throughout the SeaTac Area.
Perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervision.
Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.
Read and interpret plans and specifications.
Maintain and calibrate standard equipment.
Make detailed observations and provide interpretation of results.
Train/supervise and perform complex assignments and work tasks.
Attend project meetings alone without supervision.
Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
