About The Position

Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in Southern California's robust commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. Headquartered in beautiful Carlsbad, CA, we are a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus on the Department of Defense market. We are looking for a Construction Quality Control Manager candidate to join our Field Operation teams for different projects located across the southeast. Project job site locations include Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and internationally at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (GTMO). The CQCM role is a fully on-site position. The CQCM is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing a project-specific quality control plan that meets all contractual requirements. This role also includes ensuring proper implementation of quality standards, maintaining accurate and timely documentation, and fostering strong client relationships to ensure overall satisfaction. All responsibilities are carried out in alignment with RQ's core mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

A BA/BS degree in Industrial/Construction/Electrical/ Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is the minimum formal education preferred for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.
A combined total of 10+ years (or equivalent) of experience in the commercial construction industry, serving in roles such as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer.
At least 2 years of direct experience working as a Quality Control Manager.
Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email platforms, and general internet use is required.
All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Nice To Haves

RMS/QCS system knowledge preferred (training available).
Additional specialty inspection certifications or licenses are strongly desired.
LEED AP, AP+, or Green Associate credentials are a plus.
Familiarity with construction management software such as Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS is preferred.
