About The Position

RQ Construction is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to join their Field Operations team for a major ambulatory care center and dental clinic project in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This role is crucial for planning, coordinating, and implementing a project-specific quality control program, ensuring performance aligns with contract requirements, timely completion of administrative documentation, and fostering client satisfaction, all in accordance with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a four-year accredited college or university program (Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or similar).
  • 5 or more years combined experience (or equivalent) in the commercial construction industry as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer.
  • At least 2 years of direct experience serving as a QC Manager overseeing large-scale projects with similar scope and operational complexity as a hospital project (hospital experience preferred).
  • Current USACE CQM for Contractors Certificate required.
  • Level 1 EM 385-1-1, CRP, First Aid, OSHA 30-hour certifications required.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
  • Must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base.

Nice To Haves

  • RMS/QCS training is preferred (training is available).
  • Specialty inspection training and licenses/certs highly desired.
  • Project experience with Medical Facilities is highly preferred.
  • LEED AP, AP+ or Green Associate (GA) Certificate preferred.
  • Specific software literacy (Viewpoint/Vista, RMS/QCS) preferred.
