About The Position

RQ Construction, LLC is currently seeking experienced Construction Quality Control Managers (CQCM) to become part of our Field Operations team. Project assignments may be located across the Southeastern United States and involve working on active construction sites within military installations. This specific role is based at Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia. Preference may be given to candidates local to the project area; however, relocation or travel should be expected, as this is a fully on-site position. The CQCM is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing a project-specific quality control plan that meets all contractual requirements. This role also includes ensuring proper implementation of quality standards, maintaining accurate and timely documentation, and fostering strong client relationships to ensure overall satisfaction. All responsibilities are carried out in alignment with RQ's core mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

  • A BA/BS degree in Industrial/Construction/Electrical/ Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is the minimum formal education preferred for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying
  • A combined total of 10+ years (or equivalent) of experience in the commercial construction industry, serving in roles such as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer
  • At least 2 years of direct experience working as a Quality Control Manager
  • Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email platforms, and general internet use is required
  • All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Nice To Haves

  • RMS/QCS system knowledge preferred (training available)
  • Additional specialty inspection certifications or licenses are strongly desired
  • LEED AP, AP+, or Green Associate credentials are a plus
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS is preferred
