Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Math, Quality or related field and typically 4+ years related construction experience or a High School/Trade School diploma or equivalent and minimum 8 years related experience is required.
  • Must have a working knowledge of: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding
  • Must be tested for visual acuity and color discrimination as a part of employment.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation.
  • Very good computer skills with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access.
  • Require proficiency in the use of computers and software packages needed to support the documentation, analysis and retention of quality records.
  • Driver’s license with clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ membership is desirable.
  • Experience using Procore software is highly desired.
  • Certification to industry recognized standards, such as certification to DOT, IEEE, AWS, SNT-TC-1a, IEEE, ACI or International Code Council will be favorable.
  • Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor construction activities to ensure they comply with engineering plans, specifications, and building codes
  • Oversee initial and follow-up inspections of raw materials, equipment, and finished products. This includes evaluating the operational processes and ensuring they meet preset criteria established by regulatory bodies
  • Record test results, inspection findings, and progress reports; prepare daily and monthly quality reports for management review
  • Work with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve processes
  • Ensure all testing and site activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with professionals.
