About The Position

Foster CM Group is a leading program and construction management firm seeking an experienced Construction Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector for a full-time position in Dallas, Texas. The QA Inspector ensures all construction project aspects meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role involves being the on-site representative for the quality program, verifying that construction work is performed correctly, safely, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and codes. The company has over 30 years of experience and serves clients in Aviation, Education, Government, Healthcare, Sports & Entertainment, Transportation, and Water/Wastewater sectors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience on commercial construction projects.
Knowledge of healthcare construction requirements, codes, and regulatory agencies.
Familiarity with construction materials, techniques, and best practices.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record.
Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected.
May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Hospital or healthcare facility experience strongly preferred.
Certification(s) such as ICC, ASQ, CQM-C, or OSHA 30-Hour Construction preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor Construction Manager activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Inspect materials and workmanship throughout construction.
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and alignments of structural components.
Maintain inspection records, including checklists, test results, and non-conformance reports.
Prepare daily or weekly QA reports summarizing findings and corrective actions.
Ensure traceability of materials and components through proper documentation.
Witness or perform field tests (e.g., concrete slump, soil compaction, weld inspections).
Coordinate with third-party testing agencies and ensure test results meet specifications.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA regulations, and project-specific QA/QC plans.
Stay updated on industry standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, AISC).
Identify non-conformances or deviations from plans and specifications.
Work with the Construction Manager and Engineers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with Zone Leads, Project Managers, Engineers, and the Construction Manager to ensure quality objectives are met.
Participate in pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and quality audits.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improving construction processes and quality control measures.
Support training initiatives for site personnel on quality standards and procedures.
