About The Position

JMT is ranked #45 on Engineering News-Record’s Top 500 Design Firms list. The Project Manager will be a key team member responsible for providing project oversight for a Design/Build contract. This role requires a strong understanding of general engineering and construction principles to effectively interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate, and execute assignments according to client-defined goals. The position involves ensuring all work strictly adheres to contract documents, acting as a technical advisor to the Owner and team, and mentoring less experienced engineers and staff. The Project Manager will be accountable for delivering assigned projects within scope, schedule, and budget. Immigration sponsorship is not available, except for candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices.
  • Ability to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute assignments.

  • Responsible for delivering for assigned projects including; scope, schedule and budget.
  • Experience developing Project Management Plans (PMP) for assigned projects.
  • Experience providing construction management oversight during all phases of the project.
  • Experience creating and maintaining project schedules.
  • Experience preparing and updating cost estimates.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining project budgets.
  • Experience developing and implementing project specific QA programs.
  • Experience managing sub-consultants and technical resources.
  • Experience coordinating and interfacing with the client and project team.
  • Experience preparing bid packages and assisting with contractor procurement.
  • Experience developing and coordinating project scopes.
  • Experience overseeing and managing assigned staff.
  • Experience preparing, monitoring and updating schedules and budgets.
  • Experience developing and preparing extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.
  • Experience reviewing and approving contractor invoicing.
  • Experience participating in client presentations.
  • Experience coordinating and assisting Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals.

Responsibilities
