About The Position

BWW is designing and procuring water treatment systems for a new-build semiconductor fabrication facility (fab) in Arizona. They are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the installation of ultra-pure water (UPW), wastewater treatment (WWT), and Brine Recovery (BRF) equipment. This role involves developing and executing installation plans, managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing on-site execution to meet project milestones.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in construction project management.
  • At least 4 years leading installation of water treatment, UPW, or industrial process systems for high-tech manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or large-scale industrial facilities.
  • Proven history managing installation projects ≥$10M in value.
  • Familiarity with Arizona construction regulations, ADEQ water quality standards, and environmental permitting processes.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, equivalent certification, or demonstrable experience.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with semiconductor fab construction is highly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of water treatment equipment, high-purity piping (PVDF, PE, electropolished stainless steel), and clean construction practices.
  • Ability to use project management tools: Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, or BIM software.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards, SEMI codes, and mechanical/electrical construction specifications.
  • Leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
  • Direct experience with UPW systems for semiconductor manufacturing and wastewater systems.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom construction and contamination control protocols.
  • Experience working with EPC firms or global semiconductor equipment suppliers.
  • Familiarity with Arizona’s desert climate considerations for water conservation and system durability.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) strongly preferred.
  • Arizona specific safety training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a detailed piping and equipment installation plan, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management for water treatment systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to hone the design and manage subcontractors for timely, safe, and accurate installation.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal permits and standards, including ADEQ, OSHA, NFPA, and SEMI S2.
  • Manage appointed installation subcontractors, equipment technicians, piping specialists, and safety officers, overseeing day-to-day on-site activities.
  • Manage receipt, inspection, storage, and rigging of specialized water treatment equipment.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and instrumentation (MEP&I) tie-ins.
  • Manage construction redlines, field markups, and as-built documentation.
  • Conduct rigorous site inspections, quality checks, pre-commissioning inspections, and pressure/leak testing.
  • Track installation progress against agreed milestones.
  • Manage the installation budget and change orders.
  • Resolve on-site technical issues, design conflicts, and vendor/contractor disputes.
