About The Position

Plans and manages window and door installation projects from site walk through final service handoff. Responsible for subcontractor scheduling, install quality, punch list completion, and a clean close-out on every job.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of construction, window, and door installation experience
  • Experience managing subcontractors or installation crews
  • Proven background in field quality control and punch list management
  • Familiarity with vinyl, fiberglass, wood, and aluminum window/door systems
  • Rough opening verification and tolerances
  • Flashing, sealant, and weatherproofing standards
  • Shimming and fastening requirements across frame materials
  • SDL, grille, and muntin alignment standards
  • Hardware adjustment, lock operation, hinges, and pivot systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organization and scheduling skills
  • Ability to proactively solve problems in the field
  • High attention to detail and accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Clean driving record with minimal moving violations
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and bend, stoop, and lift regularly
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

  • Review awarded projects and fully understand installation scope and requirements
  • Develop milestone schedules and identify potential project risks early
  • Maintain proactive communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Set and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct rough opening walkthroughs prior to scheduling installation
  • Verify openings for plumb, level, square, and dimensional accuracy
  • Perform readiness checks 48–72 hours prior to installation: Site access, Product staging, Crew confirmation, Material readiness
  • Issue written installation holds when readiness requirements are not met
  • Ensure no installation begins without proper sign-off
  • Issue written scopes of work for every project
  • Confirm subcontractor acknowledgment of scope, schedule, and site expectations prior to install
  • Manage day-of scheduling changes and communicate updates promptly
  • Assign top-performing crews to complex or high-visibility projects
  • Visit active job sites for complex or high-risk installations
  • Inspect shimming, fasteners, flashing, sealants, and installation methods
  • Verify alignment consistency of SDLs, muntins, grilles, sash, and hardware throughout the project
  • Ensure defective product is not installed without documented approval
  • Perform punch walks on every completed installation prior to crew release
  • Inspect operation, hardware, weatherstripping, locks, alignment, and overall finish quality
  • Document deficiencies with photos and assign corrective responsibility
  • Ensure projects are fully completed before close-out
  • Prepare close-out and handoff documentation including: Punch status, Open items, Photos, Sign-offs
  • Coordinate with Service teams on warranty items or known concerns
  • Track callbacks and recurring quality issues
  • Maintain written records of subcontractor performance including: Quality, Schedule adherence, Communication, Callback history
  • Provide documented feedback after quality concerns
  • Escalate repeat issues with documented history when necessary
