About The Position

We’re looking for a dependable and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead industrial construction and capital improvement projects that support MPW’s operational growth across North America. This role oversees projects from planning through completion while ensuring safety, quality, budget control, and schedule performance in fast-paced industrial environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 3–5 years of experience managing construction projects, industrial facility development, or capital improvement initiatives
  • Experience with project scheduling software, budget tracking, contractor oversight, and construction documentation
  • Ability to travel up to 30% based on project schedules, site support, and operational needs
  • Ability to work in active industrial environments with exposure to construction noise, dust, uneven terrain, and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to walk construction sites for extended periods, climb ladders or stairs, and occasionally lift or carry materials up to 25 pounds
  • Strong leadership skills with a safety-first mindset and commitment to regulatory compliance across all project phases
  • Ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously while balancing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
  • Technical understanding of industrial construction, facility expansion, infrastructure systems, and contractor coordination
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive project execution and maintain operational continuity

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting and project review software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead industrial construction and capital projects from concept development through final completion
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans to support operational and facility objectives
  • Coordinate project activities with engineering firms, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal departments
  • Manage contractor performance, project safety, quality standards, and compliance with company expectations
  • Monitor project schedules, costs, procurement activities, and change orders to ensure timely project delivery
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation for accuracy and constructability
  • Support permitting, inspections, code compliance, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution
  • Conduct routine site visits to monitor construction progress, identify risks, and resolve field-related issues
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to leadership and operational stakeholders
  • Assist with commissioning activities, startup coordination, punch list completion, and project closeout documentation
  • Track capital expenditures and maintain accurate project reporting, forecasting, and budget controls
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to construction processes, contractor management, and facility development
