About The Position

Emerging Tech is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support critical infrastructure modernization projects at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as part of the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. This position will be located onsite at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa, Florida. This role is responsible for managing construction and facility improvement projects from planning through closeout while ensuring compliance with federal, VA, and project-specific requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NACI)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of construction project management experience
  • Experience supporting healthcare, federal, military, or VA construction projects preferred
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contractor performance
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and project scheduling tools
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Tampa, Florida
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and meet federal government security requirements.

  • PMP, CCM, or other relevant project management certification

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction project schedules, budgets, and overall project performance
  • Coordinate with VA stakeholders, contractors, architects, engineers, and project teams
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Review construction documents, submittments, RFIs, change orders, and project deliverables
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Track project risks, issues, and mitigation plans
  • Support commissioning, testing, inspections, and project closeout activities
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and construction records
  • Assist with development of project packages, cost estimates, and procurement documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, VA, safety, and construction standards
