About The Position

Shine Associates, LLC has been retained to search for, identify, and recruit a Project Manager (PM) on behalf of their client. The position will report to the Boston Office. The Firm, founded in 1904, is a leader in real estate development, with a history of developing over 100 million SF throughout the United States. They are known for transit-oriented developments and building for Boston's innovation workforce, having recently permitted and/or built over 1.5 million SF and 1,300 units of multifamily housing in various locations. The Company also continues to advance Office and R&D projects. This role involves working alongside Principals on a variety of projects, primarily focusing on residential but potentially including other product types. The PM will oversee projects from conception through completion and final hand-off, managing the project timeline, budget, quality control, and safety compliance. They will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, architects, and internal stakeholders, with the goal of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with ability to identify and solve problems from well-conceived options.
  • Solutions-driven, team player who has a positive attitude and who can navigate challenging environments.
  • 5-10 years construction management/project management experience.
  • BS/BA in finance, real estate, construction, architecture or other relevant discipline.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite and Project software packages.
  • Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing budgets, schedules, and other project control tools.
  • Demonstrated experience seeing projects through close-out and transition to operations.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Owner/developer and multi-family experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, establish critical milestones, and maintain master schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, oversee cost-control measures, handle the processing of invoices, pay applications, and change orders.
  • Qualify, negotiate, and award contracts to subcontractors and vendors. Coordinate and manage their daily performance and adherence to specs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, design teams (architects/engineers), and field superintendents to ensure seamless alignment.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations (OSHA), building codes, and quality standards on-site.
  • Secure necessary building permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals required for construction operations.
  • Proactively identify potential project bottlenecks, material delays, or budget overruns and implement effective mitigation strategies.
