About The Position

We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Construction Project Manager at BUILD IT. The Construction Project Manager will oversee the execution and management of construction projects, ensuring that budgets are managed, safety standards are met, and all project activities are efficiently executed.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience managing construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and invoicing within the commercial sector.
  • Solid understanding of construction financials and cost management.
  • Strong proficiency in navigating, interpreting, and administering CCDC contracts, with a focus on CCDC 5B
  • In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices.
  • Experience in construction management with proficiency in Procore and MS Project, and ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
  • Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as PMP or BCIN is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee construction projects to meet scope, schedule, and client specifications. Coordinate resources and ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets with accurate cost reporting and accountability.
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams. Conduct team meetings and maintain collaboration.
  • Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols to maintain compliance and a safe work environment.
  • Inspect sites to ensure work meets high-quality standards and client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with timely updates and issue resolution.
  • Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Secure required permits and ensure alignment with building codes and regulations.
  • Use tools like Procore to track and log project data, including reports, RFIs, and approvals.
  • Train coordination teams, participate in KPI development, and contribute to organizational efficiency.
