About The Position

McCarthy Improvement (MCI), a member of the McCarthy-Bush family of companies, is a heavy highway and construction company focused on infrastructure development. The company is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager for its Effingham, Illinois location to oversee various DOT projects. This role involves high-level project execution, daily crew management, customer relationship building, schedule development, material and subcontractor coordination, budget adherence, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Requirements

Ability to use Microsoft Project & Excel.
Background with both field and office experience (50/50 onsite/in-office).
Previous DOT project knowledge, including the ability to read plans and specs for IA/IL DOT plans.
Previous project knowledge/experience with DOT forms, documentation, and testing.
A college degree in Construction Management or Engineering, with demonstrated experience as a Project Manager or Estimator; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and all tests pursuant to the company’s Drug and Alcohol-Free workplace policy and procedures.
