Position Summary ISI is seeking a full-time onsite Construction Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at the Tampa VA Medical Center for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades. The Construction Project Manager will provide construction-phase project management support for EHRM-related projects at Tampa VAMC.

Requirements

  • Four (4) year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field and seven (7) years of experience in management of facility construction projects OR Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification or ability to complete withing 60 calendar days of hiring.
  • Experience in healthcare construction is required, with active healthcare facility construction preferred.
  • Experience supporting IT/low-voltage infrastructure projects
  • Experience supporting healthcare infrastructure projects
  • Experience working in active hospital environments to include implementing infection control procedures
  • Experience supporting phased construction to maintain hospital operations
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for the Federal contract
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust (NACI)
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Tampa, FL
  • Ability to support after-hours work as required

Nice To Haves

  • VA HVAC/Electrical/IT Infrastructure upgrade projects preferred
  • VA Hospital design/construction experience preferred
  • Experience with Florida construction and codes preferred.
  • VA Design Guides/Manuals, Specifications, and other applicable standards preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide construction-phase project management support
  • Monitor project budget and earned value
  • Review contractor pay applications
  • Review and analyze change order proposals and cost breakdowns
  • Prepare draft independent cost estimates
  • Monitor construction schedule and critical path activities
  • Identify delays and provide mitigation recommendations
  • Review submittments and RFIs and provide written recommendations
  • Develop and maintain Project Management Plan elements (Communication Plan, QA Plan, Risk Plan, Schedule Plan)
  • Support commissioning coordination
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting
  • Support project closeout activities
