About The Position

Impress, a leading health-tech innovator in the dental chain industry, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to expand its presence in the US. This role, based in either Chicago or New York, will be responsible for driving multiple clinic construction projects, managing stakeholder relationships, and establishing success benchmarks. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, including budget and resource management.

Requirements

  • Educational background in Architectural Design or Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Strong technical understanding to effectively engage with contractors and development teams.
  • Ability to understand design drawings in detail, including coordinating architecture and engineering disciplines (consultants, 3rd party providers, and local teams).
  • Relevant healthcare or retail construction experience, including familiarity with local building codes, zoning, and applicable laws.
  • Understanding of project scheduling and ability to collaborate with consultants to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a proven track record of delivering on requirements.
  • Excellent prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team leadership capabilities.
  • Fluent/professional English language proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage flagship construction projects in the US, overseeing the entire process from design coordination and tender to construction, opening, and handover.
  • Manage the workload of design and construction teams on a regional level.
  • Ensure alignment with the expansion forecast for new flagship openings and operational objectives.
  • Review and approve all CAPEX budgets before submission for senior management approval.
  • Manage costs and budgets, including approving additional spending when necessary.
  • Engage and align with external and internal stakeholders (e.g., country manager, medical directors) to mitigate escalations, communicate regional needs, and ensure alignment.
  • Escalate critical issues as needed to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Oversee the maintenance and remodeling of clinics due to new policies, improvements, or strategic decisions.
