About The Position

The Construction Project Manager II serves as the Owner’s Representative, leading the delivery of complex, large-scale capital construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout. This role is responsible for driving project strategy and execution while ensuring alignment with the Owner’s objectives for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and operational readiness. This position requires significant experience managing complex capital construction projects in highly regulated or technically demanding environments. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of leading projects involving multiple stakeholders, design teams, contractors, and consultants, with the ability to manage risk, resolve issues, and hold project partners accountable. The Construction Project Manager II provides oversight across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning and serves as the primary point of contact for the Owner throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, complex capital construction projects from preconstruction through construction and closeout.
• Experience working in highly regulated or technically complex environments such as pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or higher education.
• Experience managing projects with significant budgets, multiple contractors/trades, and complex stakeholder groups.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex, large-scale capital construction projects on behalf of the Owner, ensuring alignment to scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Establish and drive the overall execution strategy, integrating design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Provide proactive oversight of project performance; identify risks early and lead resolution to protect cost, schedule, and quality.
• Lead coordination across design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Act as the Owner’s primary point of contact, driving decisions, managing expectations, and maintaining strong relationships.
• Enforce disciplined change management, cost control, and schedule adherence across all project partners.
• Deliver clear, decision-focused reporting on progress, risks, and financial performance to the Owner and executive stakeholders.
• Direct project team performance, providing leadership and mentorship to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
