About The Position

The Construction Project Manager I coordinates construction and facilities-related projects from start to finish. This role keeps schedules, budgets, documentation, and communication organized so projects stay on track. Works with clients, field teams, and internal staff to solve problems and move work forward. This position helps ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to client requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing or coordinating construction, facilities, engineering, asset management, or similar project work.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, documentation, client communication, and cross-functional project follow-up.
  • Ability to read and understand construction-related documents, including plans, specifications, reports, photos, or similar project materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document decisions, communicate risks, track open items, and follow up on action items.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, site visits, inspections, project coordination, and issue resolution.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting recurring client accounts, public-sector or institutional client programs, multi-site project portfolios, or long-term facilities maintenance programs.
  • Commercial roofing, building envelope, pavement, restoration, construction monitoring, quality assurance, or facilities-related field experience, including experience coordinating leak response, repair closeout, warranty documentation, safety-related project follow-up, or quality assurance documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client requirements are met.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned projects, providing status updates, documenting decisions, communicating risks, and coordinating next steps.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, action-item trackers, status reports, and closeout plans to ensure milestone and completion dates are achieved.
  • Track and update project budgets, expenses, forecasts, invoices, change orders, and not-to-exceed amounts, and escalate financial risks or variances promptly.
  • Coordinate project meetings, document discussions and decisions, assign action items, and follow up to ensure commitments are completed on time.
  • Coordinate inspections, surveys, audits, leak investigations, repair activities, quality assurance reviews, and other field-related project work, ensuring issues are documented, tracked, and resolved.
  • Manage safety and life-safety related project items by tracking identified issues, coordinating scope development and pricing, supporting client review, and overseeing implementation through closeout.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project records in designated systems, including schedules, budgets, communications, reports, photos, quality documentation, warranty information, and closeout deliverables.
