About The Position

ISI Professional Services is seeking a junior project manager to provide project coordination and management services to a DoD client. The project manager will support a DOD client in managing in-house construction projects, each valued at no more than $500k, of various sizes and complexity. The role involves providing analytical, planning, design, and construction management support services. This position will support more senior government project managers and fellow contractor project managers as part of a larger construction program. The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, take initiative, embrace project ownership, and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management with 3+ years relevant CM experience OR 10 years of construction related specialized technical experience with clearly demonstrate detailed subject matter expertise in your field of specialty (if no relevant degree).
  • Subject Matter Expertise could be demonstrated by 2 or more years of high-performance supporting WHS.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with at least 3 years of established residence in the US.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance (requirements government fingerprinting and background check).

Nice To Haves

  • Pentagon WHS experience is highly sought after.
  • Experience with the Pentagon, DoD, USACE, or NAVFAC is highly preferred.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Government in conducting site evaluations, field surveys, and site visits to determine constructability and code compliance.
  • Develops draft scopes of work, validation of requirements, and participates in pre-bid conferences.
  • Supports the Government’s development of technical requirements, scopes of work, cost estimate analysis and schedules for A/E services, to include studies, reports, and drawings review.
  • Serves as liaison between the construction teams and clients to ensure that their operational impacts caused by the construction operation are understood and to clearly set expectations resulting in clear communications.
  • Supports the Government’s tracking of construction progress, submittals, permit applications, organization of files, and purchase requests.
  • Schedules and participates in weekly project progress meetings and monthly program progress meetings to evaluate schedule progress, identify departures from the accepted baseline schedule, and evaluate risk to long-term project and program health.
  • Has the ability to work independently to track down requirements and data from other project managers or clients in a professional manner with complete and on time submissions.
  • Maintains construction administration data in Excel, web based software and files to be aggregated and used as metrics and briefing tools for senior leadership.
  • Regularly prepares and presents project status briefings, develops, and maintains performance matrixes, prepares well-written technical reports.
  • Prepares written and oral reports to Government leadership and program managers.
