AECOM is seeking a Senior Data Center Construction Manager nationally. This position is located in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves leading day-to-day activities on hyperscale data center projects, encompassing pre-construction, design, construction phasing, closeout coordination, commissioning, facility start-up and testing, occupancy, and warranty enforcement. The position requires working with the Program Director to develop and execute project delivery strategies aligned with schedule, budget, and operational requirements. The Senior Construction Manager will act as the primary construction interface with the client, organizing and coordinating construction activities with the client, client vendors, and other stakeholders. A key responsibility is ensuring all construction work is performed efficiently and meets established cost and schedule requirements. This includes understanding scheduling, critical milestone activities, schedule logic, and basic construction means and methods. The role involves planning and organizing reports, reviewing documentation from multiple project teams, and potentially providing technical direction. The Senior Construction Manager will administer client policies, maintain close interfaces with the project team, and ensure all project facets are constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and quality. Coordination with General Contractors and EPC Contractors is essential, including ensuring the scheduling of all tests and inspections and archiving reports. The role also involves reviewing and verifying punch list items, monitoring construction progress, processing field construction documentation, and providing engineering support. Coordination with operations, network infrastructure, and commissioning teams for successful facility turnover is required, as is attending site-based meetings and coordinating project documentation with Project Controls. Reviewing and approving Pay Applications, and reviewing/documenting the condition of off-site stored materials are also part of the responsibilities. Promoting a zero-incident safety culture and building strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and local authorities are critical aspects of this role.
