Construction Project Engineer
About The Position
Bonneville Builders, a general contractor established in 1998 and specializing in hospitality, multi-unit, industrial, office, retail, healthcare, and tenant improvements in the Salt Lake City and St. George markets, is seeking a Project Engineer for its Sandy office. This role supports project management, bidding, and preparation for construction, offering an opportunity to join a rapidly growing company recognized for its significant growth. The Project Engineer will be instrumental in maintaining project documentation, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring safety protocols, and managing project details within ProCore and/or Microsoft Project.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or working towards a degree in construction management, engineering or business
- 3-5 years of commercial construction experience
- Knowledge of construction practices, procedures, and techniques
- Ability to read and understand complex documents, work orders, safety rules, and maintenance instructions
- Proficiency in construction scheduling and cost control
- Familiarity with various equipment and tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam, and CAD software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented approach

Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date project records and documentation
- Assist Project Manager in various project phases
- Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure timely delivery of project documents
- Attend meetings and represent the company as needed
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols
- Prepare and submit project reports, change orders, RFIs, and other required documentation
- Support business development efforts by marketing the company to clients
- Monitor and manage the products in ProCore and/or Microsoft Project
- Review construction documents, specifications, and stay up to date on industry standards
- Ability to analyze project data and generate reports
