About The Position

AECOM Hunt is hiring a Construction Project Engineer to work on the ORD 21 Program in Chicago, Illinois. The position is expected to begin in Summer 2027 and is based on-site. The engineer will support the Project Management team with construction administration, project documentation, progress reporting, site coordination, and cost and schedule tracking to help complete projects within budget and in accordance with contract requirements.

Requirements

Completed bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Prior internship experience within the construction industry.
Experience working on a live construction site.
Experience engaging with multiple trades on a construction project.

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Management team by overseeing construction administration tasks.
Prepare subcontractor reports to keep the Supervisor and Client informed of ongoing progress.
Participate in site visits and coordinate with and assist the superintendent as required.
Receive, review, and submit documents for approval, including submittals and RFIs.
Assist the project manager with costs and scheduling to help ensure project completion within budget and in conformance with the contract.
Use document control systems, project management systems, software, and databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
