About The Position

The Construction Project Engineer is responsible for providing the Facilities Project Manager/Account Manager with administrative and customer support, and coordinating procedures related to all phases of facilities and project work. Uihlein Electric is a growing company looking for driven and organized individuals who share pride and enthusiasm for the industry.

Requirements

1+ years of prior experience in construction management project support; or, Bachelor’s degree in Construction management or related field
Proficient in Office software and construction management software (Bluebeam preferred)
Proficient with construction accounting systems
Possess strong organizational skills and can plan and coordinate multiple projects
Effectively communicate both verbally and through written format
Ability to maintain rapport with customers and employees

Responsibilities

Assists PM/Account Manager as needed
Attends project turnover and kick-off meetings
Contributes to job setups and commodity material buyouts
Helps manage all submittal packages, log statuses and follow ups until all materials released
Updates and maintains required logs; RFI’s, CO’s, Submittals, O&M, Materials etc
Manages document control for all assigned projects
Assists with site-specific programs such as Safety and Quality Control
Develops, maintains and audits job files, ensuring continuity
Monitors material returns and tracks credit memos
Provides the PM/Account Manager with any required reports
Assists in estimating and cost analysis options
Responsible for compliance with all Uihlein SOPs
Develops and tracks labor production vs. work % completed and provides projection analysis
Ensures all closeout documentation is complete
Assists the project team with take-offs, scheduling and labor forecasting
Performs other duties as assigned
