About The Position

AECOM Tishman is seeking an Entry Level Project Engineer to be based in New York, NY. This position is expected to begin in December 2026. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: assisting with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility, monitoring subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promoting quality control of all installations, and assisting in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility. The role receives continual supervision and technical and operational direction from the assigned Superintendent or Project Manager. The Project Engineer enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Field Management. This role involves working with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate, including updating drawings, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes and other documents as required. When requested, the Project Engineer interfaces with client, architect, and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and client satisfaction. The role also contributes to building good communications between field management, project management, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications, and company quality standards. The Project Engineer is responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.

Requirements

Candidate must have completed Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or similar major.
Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Able to follow directions and interact with all levels of management on a working construction project.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Prior Internship experience within the construction industry.
Experience working on a live construction site.
Experience engaging with multiple trades on a construction project.
