About The Position

Muller is a full-service Site Work Contractor based in Northern Virginia. Our unique technology and systems-driven approach has led us to become a leading provider of sustainable civil construction services throughout Maryland, Virginia, and DC. The Project Engineer will work on 1-2 job sites daily (depending on size) to ensure daily completion of various tasks related to quantity tracking, change order identification, delay tracking, daily plan submission, material ordering, subcontractor oversight, and schedule review.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret project drawings and identify what is included within our scope of work.
Comfortable using a computer on a daily basis to track, document, and manage items and activities on site.
Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation
Computer & Technology Skills
Ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions when faced with unique or unexpected tasks that fall outside the norm.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience with Excel, Bluebeam, Word, Teams
Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus

Responsibilities

Quantity tracking on site (verifying feet of pipe installed, loads hauled out/in, loads placed for a fill operation).
Ensure we don't go over estimated quantities or alert the PPOC if we are going to be over on a quantity.
Recognize and report any potential change order work on site to the PPOC.
Track any delays that occur on the project daily (weather tracking, surveying stakeout delay, other trades in our way, etc.).
Ensure all foremen on their site submit their daily plans in a timely manner for the PPOC to review.
Order materials needed for the foreman/super.
Ensure all subcontractors are performing their scope of work correctly, and confirm their crew size and productivity.
Review the schedule weekly with PPOC and site super to ensure we are on schedule.
