About The Position

GoldenWolf is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects at Naval Medical Center San Diego and associated military installations. This role provides project management support, construction inspection, quality assurance oversight, project coordination, and contract compliance monitoring. The successful candidate will work closely with government personnel, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with federal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; OR Minimum 8 years of relevant construction or engineering experience.
  • Experience with construction inspections, construction administration, project coordination, or quality assurance.
  • Ability to obtain CAC credentials and required federal background investigations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in active construction environments and healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly project status reports.
  • Track schedules, milestones, deliverables, and project progress.
  • Coordinate project meetings and stakeholder communications.
  • Assist with production control and project planning activities.
  • Conduct field inspections of ongoing construction projects.
  • Monitor compliance with construction documents, federal requirements, and site-specific regulations.
  • Verify contractor performance and workmanship.
  • Identify deficiencies and assist in resolution.
  • Review project activities for compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor safety, life-safety, and infection-control requirements.
  • Evaluate project constructability and phasing plans.
  • Prepare quality assurance reports and inspection documentation.
  • Assist with project turnover and closeout activities.
  • Review O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, and documentation.
  • Coordinate final inspections and punch-list completion.
